Challenge #40

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! This week's challenge is a little different, but is a great one to help clean up all those Christmas Cards you received!
This is a Too Much is Never Enough challenge- create a layout using things cut from your Christmas cards as your only embellishments!
Due to illness & moving, we only have 1 layout to share (I may be adding one of my own later) from DT Member Missy! I love how she incorporated the letters in the title!
I look forward to seeing everyone's interpretations of this one!
Hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Challenge #37 & #38

For some reason, I totally thought I had posted last week's challenge, but evidently, I have not. That's the problem with working retail this time of year- it scrambles your brain.
So, this week, we have  Two-fer!

For challenge #37, our DT was challenged with using the song "Jingle Bells" as their inspiration... it could be lyrics, the title, anything! Here's an awesome layout from Elisabetta for this one:

For challenge #38, It's in the bag! This week's challenge is to create a set of 3 greeting cards and a gift bag for your friends to get them in a festive mood!

Also, I am still reviewing the Guest DT submissions & will be announcing them on Monday

Challenge #36

Since last we had Black Friday & Cyber Monday, the theme of this week's challenge is shopping! But not just any kind of shopping, it's an Ad Challenge! Our DT was challenged with choosing a store's ad ad adapting it to their layout. I find it kinda funny that the ads of choice were both Target ads...
Paula
Took her inspiration from the Target Logo for this sweet layout!

Missy
Used the actual Target Black Friday Ad as a basis for her whole layout! Awesome layers!
Connie
Used an ad of a different sort for this awesome layout!

Hope everyone has fun with this one! Don't forget to share if you're playing along! Also, today is the last day to enter for those guest dt spots, so please email me your layouts! I will be making the decisions & sending out the challenges by the end of next week hopefully :)

Challenge #32

Sorry for the late post of this... computer problems. I have a new laptop now, though, so these problems should be behind me now :)
These next few challenges will be something a little different. We are basing these challenges on the 12 Days of Christmas, but with a twist.
This week, we are focusing on the present list- this challenge is all about that list of the ideal things we want. Your challenge is to create a layout with your list.

Have fun & see you on Wednesday!

Challenge #31

We are celebrating Halloween here on Paper Thrills! I know it's my favorite holiday... how about yours? Today's challenge is a theme challenge- create a layout about what scares you! We only have one layout this week to share with you, but it's an awesome one!
Elisabetta
Paula
Paula sent me this awesome layout for this challenge that I wanted to share :)

Also, Paper Thrills has been awarded The Versatile Blogger award! A big Thank You to Paula, who awarded it!

As a recipient of The Versatile Blogger Award, there are 3 rules to follow…
1. Thank the person who awarded you.

2. Tell 7 things about yourself that your readers may not know.
3. Award 7 other bloggers with this award.

7 things you may not know about me are:
  1. I have 2 kids- an 18 year old daughter and a 15 year old son
  2. I have several kids of the animal variety- specifically a dog, 5 cats, a bird, a bearded dragon, a ball python, 2 turtles and 2 gerbils
  3. I love anything unusual
  4. I am obsessed with the paranormal
  5. I have been married for 17 years to my high school sweetheart
  6. I would rather be on Twitter than Facebook
  7. I love Urban exploration.
Now the tough part of this is figuring out which 7 people to award this to...

Connie
I love how there are photos incorporated into this design!

Paula
This is a beautiful rustic wreath! I love the incorporation of that little pumpkin!
Missy
The accordion flowers and bright fall colors really make this one pop!

Is everyone ready for Halloween yet? Next week, we're spookying it up a little bit!

Challenges #26 & 27

Due to an emergency out of town trip last week, I was unable to get last week's challenge posted, so that means this week, it's a double header!
Challenge #26
This is a theme/ title challenge! Your layout needs to be about, "What I know for sure." Our DT came up with some wonderful layouts :)
Connie

Missy

Paula

Challenge #27
On to this week's challenge :) This is a Too Much is Never Enough challenge, and the word of the day is Doodles! Our DT was challenged to create a page with nothing but doodles as embellishments! I am so loving the creativity with these!

Challenge #26

It's September, and that means a lot of fairs. Today's challenge is a Palette Challenge of sorts... our DT was challenged with using the design & colors of this country fair photo for a layout.

I am in love with how both of these layouts turned out!
Elisabetta
Lots of yummy Sassafras on this one :)

July
Gorgeous details on this one!

Stay tuned for next week! More exciting fall challenges coming up! Also, don't forget to upload your layouts to our Facebook to share, or leave a link in the comments :)

Challenge #25

This is a different Too Much is Never Enough challenge of sorts. Our inspiration for this one was a musical one- I call it the Heavy Metal challenge :) Our DT was challenged with using only metal embellishments on their layouts and they really rocked this challenge!
Connie
Connie even added some cool hidden journaling...

Missy
I am totally loving those zipper flowers on this one...

Paula
This patriotic theme is perfect with the metal!
