Challenge #30

Sorry this is a little later in the week than I wanted to post it... computer issues & work issues. I have some gorgeous DT projects to show you this week, too! This week, we took a different approach... the challenge for our DT was to create a fall wall-hanging to celebrate the season!
Connie
I love how there are photos incorporated into this design!

Paula
This is a beautiful rustic wreath! I love the incorporation of that little pumpkin!
Missy
The accordion flowers and bright fall colors really make this one pop!

Is everyone ready for Halloween yet? Next week, we're spookying it up a little bit!
Don't forget to post your projects in our comments or on Facebook :)
Thanks for playing along!

Challenge #16

Well, seems like Blogger had an issue when I thought I posted this on Wednesday night, so I guess it just turns into a bonus challenge for this week? This challenge is a Use Your Stuff challenge. Today's challenge is to use stickers as your background and everything but alphas is fine (including the negatives from your alphas). Our design team has some AWESOME layouts for us, so I'm sad you didn't get to see them earlier. Anyhow, here they are:

Awesome job, girls! Remember, if you are playing along at home, don't forget to link back in the comments so we can see your work, too!
Hope everyone is having a safe & sane 4th of July Stateside! See you on Wednesday!

Challenge #13

Today's challenge is a Use it Up Challenge of a different sort. Design a layout using 2 or more photos you normally wouldn't scrap (ie- the bad ones, the random ones).

The design team did an awesome job with this challenge!
Paula
I don't normally use white cardstock (but I have a ton of it), I am always wondering on how to use vellum so I used a sheet of that.  These photos are the last ones not used from our church Easter celebration and egg hunt.  I mounted the vellum on the white stock.  I chalk inked on the vellum.  I matted the photos (using all scraps) and distressed the edges and chalk inked the edges of those also. Added a few rhinestones and finished!  I figured if I was going to use it up I would try to use up more than just the photos I hadn't gotten to use.

Missy
Here is my layout for the bad photos challenge.  I used some photos of my daughter that I hadn’t planned on scrapping.  Her hair was a mess, she had a huge bruise on her forehead, and one of them is out of focus because she was turning the pages of a book up close to her face.  I wound up really liking the page, though, and I’m glad I scrapped them!  I realized it’s important to scrap even those not-so-great moments because they are STILL moments!

Connie
I knew just which photos I would use when I received this challenge. These
had been in my "to scrap" pile for about a month. I really like the emotion
in them, even though they are not great photos. I had been debating whether
or not I should create a layout with them. This challenge was just the
motivation I needed.
Have fun with this challenge! And as always, don't forget to link your layouts in the comments!

Challenge #10

Sorry I didn't get this up earlier- I was having some computer problems, but they're all good now! This week's challenge is a Use Your Stuff Challenge. For this challenge, no patterned paper is allowed. You need to use your paints, stamps, stickers, whatever you can to create your own patterned paper.
Here's our Design Team's take:
Christi
"This was a great challenge. I tried a few different techniques to add pattern and interest to my layout.
I used Core'dinations cardstock for the background and sanded it to bring out the polka dots.
To make the photo mat, I put a piece of KI lace cardstock over cream cardstock and sprayed several times with gold Smooch Spritz.
I stamped and heat embossed a leaf pattern on the pink circle in the top right corner. I stamped the journaling spot with aqua pigment ink."

These are awesome layouts, ladies! There's more to come, so stay tuned!
Remember to link your takes on this challenge in the comments :)

Challenge #7

This is challenge lucky #7 and the first to feature some awesome designs from the Design Team! This challenge is a Use Your Stuff Challenge.
We all love our alphabets, whether they be stickers, rub-ons or chipboard, but what's the worst part about them? All those leftover letters you know you'll never need! The purpose of this challenge is to make use of those letters. Use your leftover alphas for anything but your title- you can make design elements out
of them, use them as masks, background, anything!

Here's what the DT came up with:

Paula

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with! Don't forget to post a link to your layout in the comments!
Stay tuned next week for more layouts from the other half of our Design Team :)
